English fast bowler Mark Wood won’t be a part of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) squad for the upcoming TATA IPL 2022 season after he sustained an elbow injury while the first Test in opposition to West Indies in North Sound last week.
For now, LSG hasn’t found a substitute for the right-arm fast. Wood was speculated to be a significant cog in the new franchise’s bowling attack after being picked up for INR 7.5 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
In the meantime, the franchise captain KL Rahul has stepped up preparation ahead of the season. LSG will be making its debut alongside Gujarat Titans (GT), both teams had been added to the league this 12 months.
